The survey asked business executives: \"In your principal lines of business in this country, do you have business relationships (for example as a supplier, client, partner or competitor) with companies whose headquarters are located in any of the following countries?\".\n\n \n\nRespondents were presented a list of 28 countries. For each instance where the respondent answered that they do have business relationships with companies headquartered in a country, the respondents were then asked: \"How often do firms headquartered in (country name) engage in bribery in this country?\"\n\n \n\nAnswers were given on a 5-point scale where 1 corresponded to \u2018never\u2019 and 5 to \u2018always\u2019. This was then converted into a 10-point scale system, where 10 corresponds to \u2018never\u2019 and 0 to \u2018always\u2019. Since the index reflects views on foreign bribery, assessments of companies from the respondents\u2019 own countries were excluded."}, "dimensions": {"years": {"values": [{"id": 2008}, {"id": 2011}]}, "entities": {"values": [{"id": 9, "name": "Spain", "code": "ESP"}, {"id": 81, "name": "South Africa", "code": "ZAF"}, {"id": 86, "name": "Singapore", "code": "SGP"}, {"id": 44, "name": "Canada", "code": "CAN"}, {"id": 37, "name": "Brazil", "code": "BRA"}, {"id": 113, "name": "Mexico", "code": "MEX"}, {"id": 23, "name": "Australia", "code": "AUS"}, {"id": 14, "name": "Japan", "code": "JPN"}, {"id": 127, "name": "South Korea", "code": "KOR"}, {"id": 13, "name": "United States", "code": "USA"}, {"id": 12, "name": "Russia", "code": "RUS"}, {"id": 137, "name": "India", "code": "IND"}, {"id": 171, "name": "China", "code": "CHN"}, {"id": 1, "name": "United Kingdom", "code": "GBR"}, {"id": 3, "name": "France", "code": "FRA"}, {"id": 198, "name": "Taiwan", "code": "TWN"}, {"id": 4, "name": "Belgium", "code": "BEL"}, {"id": 5, "name": "Netherlands", "code": "NLD"}, {"id": 8, "name": "Italy", "code": "ITA"}, {"id": 6, "name": "Germany", "code": "DEU"}, {"id": 7, "name": "Switzerland", "code": "CHE"}, {"id": 144, "name": "Hong Kong", "code": "HKG"}]}}}
