They can be given at different doses (full or fractional). They can be administered in different ways: orally (for OPVs), by needle, device, or patch (for IPVs). They are either given during routine immunizations (RI) or during supplementary immunization activities (SIAs) where large groups tend to be vaccinated at the same time.
